Custom-made

We love to tailor our lighting designs to suit your project! We’ve been creating bespoke versions of lights for our clients since we first started out in 2009.

We offer numerous colour and finish options, as well as an array of modifications which can be applied to lights in our standard collection.  Our price list sets out the modifications available for each piece and the cost associated with that.

For projects where more substantial design work is needed, we operate a custom-made design service.  This is subject to a minimum order value and is exclusive to our trade clientelle.

DESIGN PROCESS

1 – ESTABLISH THE PARAMETERS

We will review the need for a Custom project, and if possible we will present alternative options that may still meet the brief, using standard products and modifications.

2 – AGREE DESIGN BRIEF

This design brief usually, but not always, references a piece in our standard collection.  Usually this is accompanied by a rough budget, however we do appreciate that not every client knows what they want to pay until they have fallen in love with a piece for their space!

This stage can include a zoom call with the designer and their client if wished to discuss options and your vision for the custom-made piece.

3 – PRESENT PROPOSED DESIGN

Tigermoth will present a proposed design using a Custom Specification Sheet, which outlines all the key details and references and contains a visualisation of the final design.  A 3D viewing link can also be provided upon request.  The specification sheet will also stipulate an estimated project timeframe for the creation of the custom-made piece.

There may be a couple of iterations at this stage until everyone is happy and then a final version of the Specification Sheet will be sent for signing.  #

4 – KICK OFF PRODUCTION

A 50% deposit is required at this point in time to secure the order and kick off the detailed design and production.  Our workshop team will keep you appraised as to the projects progress.

5 – DELIVER AND SUPPORT INSTALL TEAM

Once the custom-made light fitting is final and has passed all quality checks, our workshop team will be in touch to take the balancing payment and organise delivery.  Each custom-made light fitting will come with its own bespoke installation and maintenance instructions.  Our design team can also offer consultation / support to the on-site electrical contractors if needed.
