Assembly Technician – September 2023

Do you enjoy working with your hands?  Would you thrive in a highly creative environment?  Our Pangbourne workshop has an opportunity to join our friendly team and be involved with our light making process.

Your key responsibility will involve the assembly of our lights to an excellent quality standard.  Our lights are individually hand-crafted and your attention to detail and diligence during production will be of the utmost importance.  Due to the large variety of our lights and different aspects of their production the work will be varied and interesting.

Full training, tools, and safety equipment will be provided.

This role also involves:

helping to manage stock levels of crystal, chain and other materials

assisting with projects such as exhibitions and photo shoots

checking and signing for deliveries; ensuring orders are dispatched on time

Experience of detailed hand-working is essential for this position.  It doesn’t matter what it is – a jewellery-making hobby, electrical wiring in a factory, leather car-seat stitching, clothes making, ceramics, furniture restoration…  Any evidence of your hand-working skills will be considered.

There are two full-time positions available.  One of them is a fixed term 1 year contract for maternity leave cover with strong potential for a permanent position at the end due to the continued growth of our business.

Office Manager – September 2023

Are you an organised and pro-active person, who has good communication skills and is experienced in using MS Office tools to complete general administration tasks?  Then this position could be for you!

We’re a small team working globally within the interior design industry and this position offers involvement in many different aspects of the business, with a key focus on supporting the creative process itself here in our Pangbourne workshop.

You will be responsible for:

  • Keeping production schedule up to date
  • Preparing order paperwork packs
  • Administering our “Next Day” stock service end-to-end
  • Administering our “Outlet” ordering service end-to-end
  • Updating workshop order management board for made-to-order jobs
  • Processing despatches and producing despatch notes and other paperwork
  • Keeping our order management system up to date at every stage of the creative process
  • Preparing weekly demand planning and shortfall reports
  • Chasing open Purchase Orders and keeping system up to date with progress
  • Organising Purchase Orders and Goods In paperwork, updating system with new stock received
  • Organising paperwork for batches for outworking
  • Organising weekly rolling stock count, processing stock adjustments
  • Updating process manuals
  • Keep track of quarantined stock in a spreadsheet
  • Opening post, organising keys and other facilities management tasks
  • Updating Sage product database as needed
  • Preparing monthly reports
  • Running accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
  • Executive support to company CEO as needed
  • Involvement in company-wide projects
  • Cover for other team members as needed

You’ll be right for this position if you are methodical and organised person with a proven track record of successfully carrying out administration in a small business.

Full-Time at our Pangbourne Workshop Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.

Annual Salary negotiable based upon experience.

An immediate start is available.

Lighting Design Engineer – September 2023

Do you love interior design?   Are you  organised, with great attention to detail and experienced in using CAD tools to carry out product design?  Then this position could be for you!

We’re a small team working globally within the interior design industry and this position offers involvement in many different aspects of the business, with a key focus on design.

We’re looking for someone who has at least 3 years of experience in a product design position.  Experience of the lighting industry is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of custom-made lighting projects for clients. From initial visualisation and design proposal, through to costing quoting and project scoping and then delivery – supplier liaison, procurement and project management.
  • Work with Creative Director on design of new products – market research, component, material and supplier research, producing visulisations and drawings, liaising with suppliers, researching materials.
  • Be an expert on our collection, helping to problem solve, answering design queries, carrying out quality checks as needed.
  • Be responsible for all design specifications for existing and new products including Technical Drawings, Bill of Materials, Samples and Assembly Specifications.
  • Maintain existing and create new Product Instructions, Product Catalogue and Product Information.
  • Carry out graphic design for any printed marketing materials
  • Work with Creative Director on design of displays for showroom and other displays. Create procurement package and project plan for build up, get involved in display build-up.
  • Responsible for managing Tigermoth Portfolio of project photography.
  • Responsible for maintaining main company website with up-to-date product information.
  • Review all seconds and discontinued stock once annually and create a plan for the annual seconds sale.
  • Help with any other aspects of the day-to-day running of this small business, pulling together with other team members to meet deadlines and complete projects as needed.
