Do you have experience working in a quality or general role within a small-scale manufacturing business?  Are you a quick leaner, with an eye for detail?  Are you looking for an opportunity to take on a key role in a growing British manufacturing business?  Then this varied and exciting position could be for you!

You will be involved with:

  • looking after our stock of lighting components
  • checking the quality of our materials and lights at every stage of production
  • working with suppliers to ensure that materials delivered match our specification
  • taking the lead on resolving any quality issues that arise
  • maintaining our design specifications
  • standing in for the production supervisor where needed
  • involvement in business-wide projects, such as the implementation of new IT systems

Full training will be provided; all processes are documented.

You’ll be right for us if you are a quick learner with an eye for detail.  Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and will have experience working in a small-scale manufacturing business within the production team.  You will be confident, pro-active and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

Full-time Monday – Friday 9 – 5, a quick start is available.

Salary circa £30k depending on experience.

Assembly Technician (Part-time Job Share) January 2022

Do you enjoy working with your hands?  Would you thrive in a highly creative environment?  Our Pangbourne workshop has an opportunity to join our friendly team and be involved in our light making process.

Your key responsibility will involve the assembly of our lights to an excellent quality standard.  Our lights are individually hand-crafted and your attention to detail and diligence during production will be of the utmost importance.  Due to the large variety of our lights and different aspects of their production your work will be varied and interesting.

Full training, tools and safety equipment will be provided.

This role also involves:

  • assisting with projects such as exhibitions and photo shoots
  • checking and signing for deliveries; ensuring orders are dispatched on time

Experience of fine hand working is essential for this position.  It doesn’t matter what it is – a jewellery-making hobby, electrical wiring in a factory, leather car-seat stitching, clothes-making, ceramics, furniture restoration… any evidence of your hand-working skills will be considered.

Successful applicants will: have great attention to and an eye for detail; enjoy working with processes and procedures; enjoy variety in their work; have great fine hand-working skills; be able to pick up new techniques easily; have a fantastic work ethic and enjoy working in a close-knit team.

Monday – Wednesday Job Share 20 hours per week, a quick start is available.

Part-time permanent, salary a pro rata of circa £18k – £22k depending on level of experience.
