Bathroom Lighting Design
A place to linger
Statement lighting is a clever way to create a sense of luxury in your bathroom scheme.
When making your selection, choose lighting pieces with diffuse light rather than bare-bulb glare and always install with a dimmer.
Our Silver Chain chandelier (right) emits a soft glow which will set the tone for an extended soak!
We specialise in creating elegant bathroom lighting – view our selection here:
Side note
Whilst a chandelier or pendant over a bath might deliver the drama you’re looking for, avoid this over a vanity.
Side lighting tends to be preferable in this area of the bathroom, avoiding the unflattering shadows cast by down lighting.
Position your wall lights at roughly eye level for the best results.
Our Stem Wall Lights add a note of glamour to this double vanity
Materials matter
Not in the old fashioned way – mixed metalwork finishes can now serve to enrich rather than detract from a scheme, so long as the tones are similar.
Make sure that you select lighting made from non-ferrous materials (so it won’t rust) and select finishes that add depth and character to your scheme.
The IP44 Stem Wall Light pictured here is finished in our trademark hand-grained Bronze finish.
